Frequently Asked Questions
What primary services do you offer?
In person or virtual one-on-one corrective exercise training. Please visit Services page for more details.
What do you specialize in?
Corrective exercises. Which aims to identify the cause of muscle imbalances, poor posture, and chronic pain. It improves the overall quality of movement during workouts and in everyday life. In other words, corrective exercises (also known as restorative exercises) restore the body's coordination and healthy movement. Corrective exercise will increase muscle mass, reduce fat, and increase your core strength.
What are the rates of your services?
Rates vary depending on session type. Note certain plans have minimum requirements please visit Services page for rates details.
What payment methods do you accept?
Paypal, Cash, and Zelle transfer.
Do I have to sign a contract?
Yes. There are liability waivers and informed consent forms need to be completed before the first session. Other forms include medical and exercise history, medications list and a fee agreement form.
Are you certified?
Yes. I currently hold certifications with American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), American Council on Exercise (ACE), International Fitness Association (IFA), Struther’s Parkinson’s Care Network, Florida Department Of Education (FLDOE), and American Red Cross CPR-AED & First Aide. Recertification is required for all of these every 2-3 years by continuing education in those areas. Please visit Certifications page for complete list.
Are you insured?
Yes. Liability coverage is held through Next Insurance US Company. They specialize in coverage for exercise professionals.
Do you do adjustments ?
No. Aside from corrective exercises, I perform manipulation of soft tissue only, through myofascial release therapy and PNF stretching. I am not a chiropractor.
What is myofascial release therapy?
It's a pressure constant massage that releases tightness and pain throughout your myofascial tissues by focusing on your trigger points, or knots. I am a certified myfascial release therapist, not a massage therapist.
What is PNF stretching?
PNF stretching, or proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, is a form of assisted stretching used to improve joint range of motion and muscle length. You stretch a muscle group to its limit, and then push that same muscle group against a stationary apparatus. The apparatus in this case is your trainer. Your muscles will put forth resistance for a few seconds, then while relaxing the muscles your trainer will push your muscle group further.
Do you train clients who are pregnant?
Yes. As long as you have your doctor clear you for exercise, then I have the expertise to train you.
Can you train me if I've had surgery?
Yes, once the doctor has cleared you to exercise. If you have been prescribed physical therapy, then I will train you after you've completed those sessions, in order not to overwork your body.
How long will I have to train with you?
Keep in mind, doing only one session most likely won't get rid of your pain or correct your muscle imbalances. You'll need to train over time and remain committed to the process. Just as it has taken you many months or years to get poor posture or chronic pain, it's going to take weeks maybe months to restore your normal function.
What are your business hours?
8AM-8PM Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
